## About C4IR Israel

The world is currently experiencing the fourth industrial revolution, characterized by groundbreaking technological advancements that are transforming industries and transcending geographical boundaries. Innovations such as Alternative protein, Bio-convergence and autonomous transportation are reshaping our lives, presenting new opportunities and challenges, and sparking ethical debates.In this fast-paced environment, it is crucial for countries to evolve to support technological progress and benefit society.To facilitate this adaptation, the World Economic Forum established the network of Centers for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR). As a forward-looking global platform for multistakeholder dialogue and cooperation, the C4IR explores exponential technologies and drives responsible adoption and application, leveraging a global network of 19 independent national and thematic centers.In January 2019, under Government Resolution No. 4481, Israel decided to join the C4IR. Consequently, in August 2019, the Innovation Authority established the Israeli Center for Regulation of Innovative Technologies, which serves as an Affiliate Center in the C4IR network.

### Facilitation

To prepare the infrastructure for the implementation of future Technologies, the World Economic Forum established the network of Centers for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR). As a forward-looking global platform for multistakeholder dialogue and cooperation, the C4IR explores various technologies and helps in creating an enabling policy infrastructure for the responsible adoption and application of innovative technologies, leveraging a global network of 19 independent national and thematic centers.


### Our establishment

In January 2019, under Government Resolution No. 4481, Israel decided to join the C4IR. Consequently, in August 2019, the Innovation Authority established the Israeli Center for Regulation of Innovative Technologies, which serves as an Affiliate Center in the C4IR network.


## The center drives innovative technology initiatives both locally and globally. Through multistakeholder engagement, ecosystem promotion, and cross-sector collaborations, it fosters knowledge sharing and advances groundbreaking solutions involving governments, corporations, and experts worldwide.

Since its establishment, the Israeli Center has focused on promoting technological fields central to the C4IR's mission. These efforts include collaborations with the Ministries of Transport, Health, and Justice to regulate smart transportation, autonomous vehicles, drones, Alternative protein and Bio-convergence. These initiatives aim to enhance productivity and growth in Israel, ensuring the country remains at the forefront of technological innovation.
